The first week of January is done and even though not a lot has changed & we’re still in lockdown, it’s been a full-on week here at S&F HQ!

As expected classes are getting really busy again with the current lockdown and it’s great to see so many familiar faces returning to the virtual studio. We would particularly like to welcome all the newbies who’ve already done a class or have signed up to classes later in January.

We really hope you enjoy the Pilates with Michael Class and if you do then please leave us a review and get your next class for just £5! That goes for any of you regulars who haven’t left us a review yet – they really do help us so if you have a minute we’d love you forever! ❤️

Don’t forget that you can get an hour 1-2-1 class with Michael if you’d like to work on anything specific or for a more bespoke experience than the group class. You can book them online or just email us if you have any questions.

As well as the classes this week we had a rather surreal virtual photoshoot with Mailchimp (the people who send all these emails out)! They’ve picked us as one of only a handful of companies worldwide to feature as a case study on their website & promotional activity! We have been working closely with them since Summer 2020 and we’re so proud to have them championing us globally! Here’s a sneak look at one of the pics – more to follow!!!

So, while we’re looking looking out to 2021 with an air of optimism both for Stretch & Flex and the world in general, we still need to navigate Lockdown #3 which we know is taking its toll on a lot of people.

Here are our Top 5 Tips to help get us all through the next few weeks:
Keep to a routine. Try to get up and go to bed at the same time every day, aiming for seven to nine hours of sleep per night. If you’re working from home, make sure you schedule in lunch breaks, and time to move and stretch. Make time for exercise. This could be Online Pilates Class or a long walk.
Keep hydrated. Drinking enough fluids helps your body function properly. It is recommended that you have six to eight glasses of fluid a day, but drink a bit more if you’re exercising.
Eat well. Try to prepare nutritious mealsif you can. Eating well is good for both your physical and mental health.
Switch off. Try not to constantly refresh the news and if you can, spend some time away from social media.
Stop, breathe & reset. Try and take a minute or two to do NOTHING! Taking some slow deep breaths can help reduce anxiety levels and help you reset. Try breathing in for four counts, hold your breath for four counts and breathe out for five counts.

We really hope that some of these help you start 2021 in a positive way – we’re definitely trying to do as many as we can.

Don’t forget to book your place in class for the next week and, as it’s getting busy, if the class you want is full then add your name to the Waiting List and we’ll be in touch if a space becomes available.
